What is naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a form of health care that uses herbs, vitamins, minerals, and diet and lifestyle advice to improve and/or maintain health and wellness.
Naturopaths practice under six foundational principles:
the healing power of nature.
first, do no harm.
find and treat the cause wherever possible.
not only the symptoms.
treat the whole person.
education and prevention.
Who can a naturopath help?
Anyone can benefit from naturopath treatment. Naturopaths treat both acute and chronic conditions. Issues such as colds and flu, anxiety and depression, female hormonal conditions like endometriosis and PMS, and digestive issues like IBS, bloating, reflux, and diarrhea/constipation can all benefit from naturopathic treatment. People who need help and support with their diet, or help to implement a more healthy lifestyle can also benefit from a visit to a naturopath,
Are naturopaths qualifies and regulated?
Naturopaths need to undertake tertiary education in order to practice as a qualified naturopath, either as an Advanced Diploma or a Bachelor’s Degree. Once qualified, naturopaths are required to join a registered association (eg ANTA, ATMS, ANPA), obtain insurance, and undertake continual education throughout their career.
Where are we?
We are based in Wodonga, servicing Albury and surrounding towns for face to face naturopathic consultations. Online consultations can also be organised. These can be done at a time and place that suits the client. Online consultations are perfect for people who find it difficult to make appointments during business hours, who live elsewhere in Australia, or who’s health issues make it difficult for them to attend appointments face to face.
